Terroir of sandstone - Cévennes Mountains
On terraced hillsides delimited with stone walls (“les faïsses”), the soils are light, consisting of sand and gravel, ideal for fruity wines such as Gamay, Sauvignon and Viognier, not forgetting to mention the Chatus, local ancient grape quoted in 1599 by Olivier de Serre for its robustness, saved from phylloxera and emblem of the Cevennes know-how.
